Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has allayed fears that he is unfit for Saturday’s 2014 World Cup qualifying game against Zambia.

The Norway-born shot-stopper gave the four-time African champions a major boost when he returned to training after suffering a short illness.

He missed Tuesday’s training following a bout of flu, according to the official FA website.

However, the last line of defence has assured fans that he is ready to be between the posts against the reigning African champions.

“I am feeling much better even though it was not anything too serious,” he said.

“The doctor wanted me to rest.

“I am ready to play in Saturday’s game and the spirit in camp is very good.”

Ghana leave South Africa on Thursday, where they have been training after their 7-0 mauling of Lesotho, and are expected in Zambia later in the day.
