Premier League side Leicester City are keeping close tabs on Torino youngster Valerio Mantovani, La Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested.
The 19-year-old came to the attention of the Foxes scouts a while back and the Premiership club continue to monitor his performances.
Mantovani is widely regarded as one of Torino’s hottest prospects and he is currently the captain of club’s youth side.
The centre-back has been training with the senior squad and was on the bench in Serie A matches against Hellas Verona and Carpi.
Mantovani joined Torino two years ago on a free transfer from AS Roma and he is predicted a bright future in the game.
Having learned of interest from Leicester City as well as Fulham, the club chiefs plan to offer the youngster a new and improved deal in order to keep him at Stadio Olimpico.
Torino have enjoyed a strong start to the new league campaign and are now available at 11/8 to defeat AC Milan.
