Marchisio vows to stay at Juventus

Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio says he is ready to sign a new deal with the Bianconeri despite interest from English Premier League.

The Italy international is still waiting for a new contract offer, but he is hoping everything will be clear before the season ends.

“I am calm and I hope that it can be resolved soon, hopefully before the end of next season,” Marchisio was quoted as saying.

”I would like to avoid another year spent thinking about my contract and not the pitch.

“Regarding various teams in England wanting to sign me, I hope to stay here, but until I’ve signed, you never know.”

Marchisio is considered an integral part of Luigi Del Neri’s squad and it is really surprising that Juventus haven’t made extra efforts to ensure the player signs a new long-term deal.
