Marseille and Monaco battle for Renato Sanches

German magazine Kicker has suggested that Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches could be moving to France at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old footballer joined the Bavarians in a €35 million deal from Benfica last summer, but he has since started mere five Bundesliga fixtures and failed to justify the hefty transfer fee.

As a result, Bayern Munich are considering loaning out the talented midfielder, with French Ligue 1 his most likely next destination.

While Monaco are keen as well, Marseille are believed to be leading the chase for Renato Sanches, and a place in the starting line-up could open up if William Vainqueur returns to AS Roma.

There is still plenty of time for Sanches to show what he is capable of, but with the competition for starting positions fierce at Allianz Arena, he would be better off moving to a smaller club on temporary basis.
