Serie A outfit Napoli have added Sassuolo forward Gregoire Defrel to their list of January targets, according to Il Mattino.
It is no secret that the Azzurri are looking to recruit a high-profile striker in the winter transfer window and the Neroverdi hotshot appear to be high on their wish list.
Defrel has enjoyed a very good start to the season, scoring 5 goals in 12 Serie A outings and keeping Alessandro Matri out of the side.
Capable of operating on either wing or as a centre forward, the 25-year-old has been linked with several top Italian clubs in the past, and he appears destined for a big club move.
The interesting thing is that the Frenchman has spent his entire career in Italy, coming through the youth ranks at Parma before going on to play for Foggia, Cesena and Sassuolo.
His suitors Napoli have slipped to seventh in Serie A standings, but they are, nonetheless, priced at 4/7 to achieve a top 3 finish.
