Ligue 1 leaders Nice are not interested in Hebei Fortune forward Ezequiel Lavezzi, les Aiglons president Jean-Pierre Rivere has suggested.
The Allianz Riviera outfit enjoyed a remarkable start to the new campaign and they currently lead the chase in France’s top flight.
Following the capture of Mario Balotelli, Nice have been linked with a move for former Paris Saint-Germain hotshot Ezequiel Lavezzi, but it appears there is no truth in those rumours.
Namely, les Aiglons chairman Jean-Pierre Rivere has said in no uncertain terms that the Argentine is not on their wish list.
“No one at the club has put that name on the list and I do not know where it (rumour) comes from,” Rivere told Telefoot.
Nice missed a great opportunity to further improve their title hopes as they squandered a two-goal lead against holders Paris Saint-Germain, allowing Monaco to close the gap to just one point.
Despite sitting at Ligue 1 summit, les Aiglons can be backed at 6/1 price to lift the coveted trophy.
