N’Zonzi regrets failed PSG switch

Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi has admitted that he regrets not joining boyhood club Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

The highly rated footballer was on the verge of moving to Parc des Princes, but the deal eventually failed to materialise.

N’Zonzi now admits that he was eager to return to PSG, having spent several years at the club as a youngster.

“It would have been nice, they have a great team, I would have played in Ligue 1,” the midfielder told Canal +.

“On top of that, I am Parisian and like all Parisians, it’s nice to play for the hometown club.

”It would have been a good thing, but, for now, it did not happen.”

N’Zonzi has returned to the Sevilla starting line-up following the arrival of Vincenzo Montella, but it would appear that he still wants a fresh challenge.
