Pulisic to replace Bale

According to the Spanish publication Diario Gol, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to sign American winger Christian Pulisic to replace the injury-plagued Gareth Bale.

Once the world’s most expensive player, the Welshman has so far made 25 appearances in all competitions this season for Real, but he completed the full 90 minutes on only four occasions.

The 12-time Champions League winners are currently having a disappointing season, having all but given up on winning the title in La Liga, and Perez seems keen on rebuilding the squad. Bale has already been marked as a probable sacrifice several times by various sources, including Spanish football expert journalist Guillem Balague.

At the age of just 19, Pulisic has already been marked as one of the brightest attacking talents and is already in high demand. He has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United in the past, but Real Madrid will not fear any competition for his signature. A high transfer fee that Borussia Dortmund will probably demand is also unlikely to deter them.
