(GSM) – Franck Ribery has mentioned his wish to play for Real Madrid several times in the past but he doesn’t rule out a move to arch rivals Barcelona. Bayern München’s star player would love to play alongside Lionel Messi, according to his agent.
Ribery’s agent, Alain Miglaccio, says his client is open for any club and the France international would welcome renewed interest.
Real Madrid advisor Zinedine Zidane would love to welcome his compatriot at the Bernabeu but Messi’s presence at Barca could send Ribery to the Camp Nou.
“He would like to play alongside Messi, that would be phenomenal,” Migliaccio told RAC-1.
Barca put their interest on hold last summer, when Bayern insisted that Ribery was not for sale but with presidential elections at the Catalan side in the summer, one or more candidates could look to make a move to win votes.
Migliaccio admits that a number of clubs had let their interest be known and that Ribery was not ruling out joining anyone at this stage.
“There are no doors closed, not that of Real Madrid, or Barca, or Manchester United,” he added.
“At the beginning of March we will make a decision and then see.”
