Marseille are considering a summer bid for River Plate midfielder Leonel Ezequiel Vangioni, La Provence can reveal.

OM did well to secure the signing of Lassana Diarra on a free transfer, while also agreeing a season-long loan for Javi Manquillo yesterday.

Facundo Roncaglia and Abou Diaby could follow in their footsteps, while Marseille are also keen on Leonel Vangioni.

Chile star Charles Aranguiz remains their primary target, but with the Internacional hotshot followed by top European sides, OM may turn their attention towards the River Plate schemer.

Vangioni has been earning rave reviews for his performances in Argentina’s top flight, with the midfielder having largely impressed since joining from Newell’s in December 2012.

The versatile footballer made a total of 99 competitive appearances for River Plate, scoring 5 goals and producing 10 assists.

Vangioni has so far made three appearances for the Argentina national team and the interesting thing is he played full ninety minutes in each of those games.
