Sanchez closing in on new Arsenal deal

Alexis Sanchez is closing in on a new five-and-a-half year deal with Arsenal, according to the Metro.

The twenty-seven year old moved to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2014, and has so far racked up seventy-six appearances in all competitions, scoring thirty-five goals .

He has been linked with a return to La Liga with Real Madrid eyeing a move, though he now looks set to commit his future to the Gunners – the side with which he has won back-to-back FA Cups.

Prior to his move to North London, Sanchez spent three seasons with Barcelona, where he scored forty-seven goals in one hundred and forty-one games and won multiple trophies including the La Liga title and Copa del Rey.

Arsenal beat Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon to help keep themselves in the title race, and the host leaders Leicester City next with the home win priced at 3/4.
