Spurs closing in on Eriksen signing

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen, with the Dutch club’s manager Frank de Boer confirming the deal is “as good as final”, Sky Sports understands.

The 21 year old has strongly been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer with Manchester United and Liverpool among the sides interested in securing his services.

The Denmark international, who has scored 27 goals in 127 games for the Amsterdam club, is set to become the seventh new arrival at White Hart Lane this summer.

Andre Villas Boas this week added Romania defender Vlad Chiriches and Argentina forward Erik Lamela, the latter of which broke the clubs transfer record for the third time this summer.

Etienne Capoue, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho have also joined the North London club this summer, while Gareth Bale is expected to complete his world record transfer to Real Madrid in the next 48 hours.

Christian Eriksen would be another fantastic signing. What an exciting time to be a spurs supporter with all of the worlds best young talent queuing up to join us. probably need another good striker + keep Defoe and possibly a left back. We are looking very strong.
