Tello finally joins Juventus

Envigado midfielder Andres Felipe Tello Munoz is set to join his new teammates after completing a loan move to Juventus.

The 18-year-old arrives on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy, and he is on his way to Turin after sorting out some bureaucratic issues in native Colombia.

Tello has been liked to Juan Cuadrado for his style of play and he can operate as a right-sided defender or right midfielder.

He has made a total of 19 first team appearances for Envigado, while starting eight games for los Cafeteros at the Under-20 South American Championship in Uruguay.

Tello is seen as a good long-term replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner and next four and a half months will give Juventus coaching staff a chance to get a closer look at the talented footballer.

The full-back is widely regarded as one of Colombia’s hottest prospects and he has been given a great chance to continue his development at the highest level.
