Tottenham want Keane back?

This morning’s Daily Mirror has an interesting, if unlikely story.

They report that Tottenham are keen to buy Robbie Keane back from Liverpool. Their story suggests that Harry Redknapp is willing to part with Aaron Lennon and Jamie O’Hara as well as £5 million, in order to seal the deal.

Whilst Liverpool may be keen to offload the striker and they would probably be interested in the two players suggested, it is hard to see what Tottenham would get out of the deal.

Lennon is returning to his very best form and in Darren Bent, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Fraizer Campbell, they have three strikers scoring goals. In Jamie O’Hara they have a really promising young player.

Good deal for Liverpool but I just can’t see why Tottenham would want to do it.

As a Liverpool supporter, take the deal. Take the deal. Take the deal.

Although I like Keane, 2 promising youngsters for a player that hasn’t cemented his spot in the side, take the deal.
