Toulalan on Atletico radar

Atletico are readying summer bid for Malaga midfielder Jeremy Toulalan, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

Los Colchoneros may be midway through the current season, but club officials are already thinking about summer reinforcements.

AS understands that Malaga star Jeremy Toulalan will be their number one target in the summer transfer window.

Atletico have been following the France international since his time at Lyon and have never lost interest in the player’s services.

Los Colchoneros attempted to sign Toulalan in the summer, but their €6 million offer was deemed insufficient by Malaga.

La Rosaleda outfit are referring interested clubs to the player’s €30 million release clause, but Atletico believe they can sign him for much less.

With Malaga facing the prospect of being banned to play in European competitions next season, Toulalan could express his desire to leave los Boquerones, especially as he came really close to leaving in the summer.
