Turkish battle continues as Galatararay make no mistakes

Galatasaray have done what they were supposed to do, with a 3-0 victory at Istanbul BB in the Turkcell Süper Lig on Sunday.

‘Gala’ needed a win to keep on sharing the top spot with rivals Fenerbahçe with three matches to go.

Home side Istanbul made it easier on their guests with an own goal from Kerim in the third minute, and second-half goals from Lincoln and Hakan Sükür set the score to 0-3.

Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray both played 31 games and have 70 points each. Fenerbahçe have a +37 goal record while Galatasaray scored 36 goals more than they conceded.

Third-placed Sivasspor and even Besiktas in fourth place, still have a chance to win the championship as well, tracing the two leaders by three and six points respectively.
