Arsenal, Madrid and Roma eye former Barcelona striker

Arsene Wenger wants to take Dani Guiza to The Emirtaes Stadium, according to the Daily Telegraph. The Mallorca forward was the top goalscorer in Spain’s La Liga this past season and has attracted the interest of several of Europe’s top clubs.

Barcelona are in pole position to sign their former player, but Real Madrid are also looking to sign Guiza while in Italy, AS Roma are reported to be interested. The player is valued at £12 million and has admitted that he could leave Mallorca this summer, that too according to The Daily Telegraph.

Arsenal will look to strengthen their attacking line-up after they finished the season with only two fit, recognized strikers. Robin van Persie was hampered by injuries all season long while Eduardo, well, let’s not go there. Among the strikers that Arsenal does have, Bendtner does not seem to be good enough for the Premier League.

And, with Emmanuel Adebayor rumoured to be interested in a move abroad, Arsenal will want to add a striker with strength and skill to their squad. Guiza fits the bill perfectly..
