13th April: Tuesday’s Football Accumulator – 8/1

While the Champions League might take center stage in midweek, we have a stacked Tuesday schedule from across England on the cards. So, for those of you looking to stick on a midweek acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Tuesday 13th April

BST 17:30 Huddersfield Town vs Bournemouth

Starting with Tuesday’s guests, while Bournemouth might have seen their FA Cup adventure come to an end on home soil last month, The Cherries have found themselves enjoying a real Championship purple patch. Appearing to have found their feet under new boss Jonathan Woodgate, the South Coast outfit have their sights set on securing an immediate Premier League return this season. Managing to find a route back into the play-off spots, the former Middlesbrough coach saw his side lay down another marker over the weekend. Led by the red-hot Arnaut Danjuma who bagged himself a brace on Saturday afternoon and with seven goals in his last nine contests, Bournemouth picked up a 4-1 romp against Coventry over the weekend. Smelling what is a golden chance on their travels in midweek, Woodgate’s squad have won each of their last four Championship matchups on the spin. With a growing reputation for their clinical displays in the final third, a struggling Huddersfield could face another stern test on Tuesday evening. Failing to bounce back from that dreadful 7-0 drumming at the hands of Norwich last week, The Terriers could also only settle for a point against relegation scrappers Rotherham last time out. Suffering a 5-0 defeat when they made the trip to The Vitality earlier in the season, we’re backing a similar away victory for Bournemouth in midweek.

Tip: Bournemouth win @ 10/11

19:00 Rotherham United vs QPR

While QPR might have been hit with that sluggish defeat against Nottingham Forest earlier in the month, The Hoops made a thumping return to winning ways over the weekend. Continuing to gain plenty of plaudits from across the Championship this season, Mark Warburton’s men open the midweek fixtures still sat in the top-half of the table. While any late play-off charge for the Londoners might seem a tad out of reach, Tuesday’s guests were last seen picking up a 4-1 romp against relegation scrappers Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon. Managing to pick up eye-catching victories against the likes of Derby and Millwall over the past month, QPR have lost just a pair of their last eight second-tier matchups. Knowing they could skyrocket their way up the table if they can land back-to-back victories in midweek, there is no doubt that Warburton’s squad should be boosted by their last meeting against Tuesday’s hosts. Landing a 3-2 victory when they welcomed Rotherham to the capital for the reverse fixture, The Hoops should be smelling a real chance in Yorkshire. On the flip side, opening up the midweek fixtures still sat six points adrift of safety, The Reds have gained a reputation for their glaring issues on home soil. Along with a 3-0 drumming against Wycombe, Rotherham have lost each of their last five straight contests at The New York Stadium.

Tip: QPR win @ 8/5

19:00 Blackpool vs Accrington Stanley

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, after throwing away that 2-0 lead away at Lincoln over the weekend and eventually having to settle for a point, Blackpool will be desperate to make a return to winning ways in midweek. However, while The Oranges would have been heartbroken to have had to settle for a late 2-2 draw last time out, they have impressed many in League One this season. With their sights set on securing at least a play-off finish this year, Neil Critchley’s men are enjoying a remarkable 14-match unbeaten run, a run that stems back to the start of February. With their recent surge highlighted by thumping 3-1 and 4-1 wins against Peterborough and Gillingham over the past month, Blackpool have also continued to catch the eye with their performances in front of goal. Despite failing to record a clean sheet in any of their last four straight matchups on home soil, it is worth highlighting that The Oranges have bagged themselves over 1.5 goals in each of their last six contests. On the flip side, despite that 2-1 win against Oxford earlier in the month, Accrington Stanley came crashing back down to earth over the weekend. Hit with a shock 5-1 drumming at the hands of AFC Wimbledon, The Reds are a side really seeking some stability. In a matchup between two sides who have gained a reputation for their lively meetings, we’re backing both teams to find the net on Tuesday night.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 1/1
