15th December: Tuesday’s Football Accumulator – 9/1

With the festive fixtures really starting to pile up, we have an action-packed night of football on the cards from across Europe in midweek. On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Tuesday acca, we have found you a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Tuesday 15th December

BST 19:45 Bournemouth vs Wycombe Wanderers

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, although Bournemouth might have opened December with that dramatic 3-2 defeat against Preston on the South Coast, the Cherries have bounced back in eye-catching fashion. Still opening the midweek fixtures holding onto their spot in the top-two, Jason Tindall’s new squad are still tipped by many across the Championship as a leading contender to book an immediate Premier League return. Last seen over the weekend when laying down another clinical marker, fans around the Vitality saw their side pick up a thumping 5-0 romp against Huddersfield on home soil and they have now managed to collect seven points from their last three appearances. Also managing to hit Barnsley for four on their travels earlier in the month, a red-hot Dominic Solanke has really spearheaded Bournemouth’s promotion charge. Including bagging a brace against Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon, the one-time Liverpool starlet has already notched himself eight Championship strikes this season, with six in his last seven outings. Smelling a chance to potentially climb to the top of the table on Tuesday night, Tindall’s side will be looking to lay down another marker against a struggling Wycombe. Firmly battling it out at the foot of the table after making their second-tier debut over the summer, the midweek guests were hit with another 2-1 defeat over the weekend, this time at the hands of Coventry on home soil. Knowing they could head into the weekend sat at rock-bottom of the table, it should be noted that the Wanderers have failed to win any of their last eight Championship contests on the spin.

Tip: Bournemouth to win by 2+ goals & Dominic Solanke to score anytime @ 11/8

19:45 Exeter City vs Harrogate Town

While Exeter might have suffered back-to-back defeats against Cheltenham and Northampton across all competitions earlier in the month, Tuesday’s hosts really managed to bounce back in rampant fashion over the weekend. Proving why they’re still tipped by almost everyone across League Two as one of the leading contenders in the promotion chase again this season, Head Coach Matt Taylor saw his side shine on Saturday afternoon as the Grecians landed a stunning 5-0 romp against high-flyers Tranmere on home soil. Knowing that three points in midweek could see them once again break their way into the automatic spots, Exeter have collected nine points from their last four fourth-tier contests on the bounce. With the trio of Matt Jay, Ryan Bowman and Joel Randall already racking up 27 goals across all formats so far this season, it is no surprise that the Devon outfit hold a fearsome reputation for their clinical displays in front of goal. Along with putting five past Tranmere last time out, Exeter have already recorded 38 League Two strikes in their 17 contests this season, the best-attacking tally in the division. Also winning six of their last seven league contests on home soil, Taylor’s men should be relishing Harrogate’s arrival to St. James’ Park in midweek. While Exeter might find themselves battling it out in the promotion chase, Tuesday’s guests are firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone after a torrid run of form. Including crashing out of the FA Cup thanks to a 4-0 drumming against Blackpool when drawing a close to November, the Football League debutants are enduring a four-match losing run across all competitions.

Tip: Exeter City win & Over 1.5 goals @ 21/20

19:45 Crawley Town vs Bradford City

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, picking up a 2-1 win against AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup last month and managing to book a showdown with Premier League outfit Leeds, the mood in Crawley’s camp should be at a high. Last seen over the weekend when picking up a 4-2 victory against Barrow on home soil, the Red Devils find themselves enjoying a four-match unbeaten run across all formats and they now sit just a single point adrift of breaking into the top-half of the League Two table. Bagging themselves seven strikes in their back-to-back contests, Head Coach John Yems will be calling on the red-hot Max Watters to spearhead their charge in midweek. Taking League Two by storm this season and reportedly attracting a string of interest, the 21-year-old bagged himself a hat-trick against Barrow over the weekend and has already notched himself 14 goals so far this season. More impressive, along with leaving with the match ball on Saturday afternoon, the former Doncaster youngster has 12 League Two strikes in as many appearances. With Crawley landing a 2-1 victory when they faced off against Bradford last season, there is no doubt that Tuesday’s hosts will be smelling a golden chance on home soil. On the flip side, blown away thanks to a 3-1 defeat against Oldham over the weekend, the Bantams have freefallen their way down the table and find themselves in the midst of a real relegation scrap. Losing each of their last six straight matchups across all formats and losing each of their last five fourth-tier contests on the road, we’re backing a home victory on Tuesday night.

Tip: Crawley Town win @ 5/4
