15th February: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 7/1

With an action-packed weekend of footballing action from across Europe, we here at Soccer News have searched far and wide for a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Saturday 15th February

BST 15:00 Barcelona vs Getafe

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, while Barcelona may have managed to come from behind to snatch what was an incredibly hard-fought 3-2 win away at Real Betis last weekend, the mood around the Nou Camp still feels fragile. Despite being sat three points adrift of league leaders and bitter rivals Real Madrid after winning three of their last four appearances, new boss Quique Setién is still desperate for his side to find some much-needed stability at the back. Although six-time Ballon d’Or winner and attacking icon Lionel Messi has still done a standout job leading the line, Barca have recorded just a sole clean sheet across any competition in their last six appearances. Still showing some inconsistencies after their shock 1-0 loss away at Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey last week, it should also be noted that Saturday’s hosts have landed just a pair of La Liga clean sheets at the Nou Camp since opening the 2019/2020 campaign. On the flip side, putting in another rampant display in their stunning 3-0 win over Valencia last time out, Getafe have cemented their spot as Spain’s surprise package. Opening the weekend fixtures in third and in pole position to secure a remarkable Champions League spot this year, the Blues find themselves in the midst of a stunning four-match winning run. Also winning four of their last six matches on the road, there is no doubt that Getafe will travel to Catalonia filled with confidence.

Tip: Both teams to score @ 19/20

15:00 Halifax Town vs Sutton United

Opening February with another eye-catching display in their 2-1 win over fellow play-off hopefuls Bromley, Halifax find themselves enjoying a scintillating purple patch at what could be a crucial time. Opening the weekend in third and still with their sights set on securing a maiden campaign in the Football League this year, Saturday’s hosts are on a four-match winning run in the fifth-tier and have not tasted defeat since Boxing Day. With the mood around the Shay Stadium once again skyrocketing, Head Coach Pete Wild will be most impressed by his side’s stellar performances in the final third. Picking up 5-2 and 4-2 wins over Maidenhead and Dover last month, Halifax also have a growing reputation for their continued success on home soil. Winning each of their last three matches in the West Midlands, Saturday’s hosts are yet to taste defeat in front of their own supporters since opening the New Year. Picking up a 1-0 win when they faced off against Sutton earlier in the season, there is no doubt that the Blues should be relishing the U’s arrival this weekend. Only managing to grab a point off of relegation scrappers Ebbsfleet last time out, Paul Doswell’s men find themselves in the midst of a sluggish patch. Slipping out of the top half and without a win in their last four appearances, Sutton have also managed to record just a sole victory on the road since the 26th of November.

Tip: Halifax Town win @ 5/4

17:30 Bologna vs Genoa

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, managing to hold on to a very impressive 3-2 win away at fellow European hopefuls Roma last weekend, Bologna have managed to refind their form at what is a crucial time. Opening Saturday’s contest just a single point adrift of breaking into the top-six, Siniša Mihajlović’s men have won their last three matches on the bounce and are unbeaten over the past month. With the mood around the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara appearing to be back on the rise, it has been I Rossoblu’s recent showings in the final third most impressing fans around Bologna. Including picking up a 3-1 win over SPAL on the road, Saturday’s hosts have scored eight goals on their winning run and one man to keep an eye out for this weekend will be the red-hot Musa Barrow. Bagging a brace against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico last time out, the former Atalanta man has scored three Serie A goals in as many appearances. On the flip side, while Genoa may have managed to grab a 1-0 win off of Cagliari last weekend, the Red and Blues still find themselves firmly at the heart of a relegation scrap. Sat three points adrift of safety and with just a pair of wins in their last 10 matchups, Genoa have also continued to show some worrying issues on the road. Davide Nicola’s men are yet to record a single victory on their travels since opening the 2019/2020 campaign.

Tip: Bologna win @ 17/20
