19th January: Tuesday’s Football Accumulator – 6/1

With the relentless fixture list rolling onto Tuesday night, we have another stacked schedule on our hands in midweek. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Tuesday acca, we have searched far and wide to find you a couple of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Tuesday 19th January

BST 19:00 Blackburn Rovers vs Swansea City

Starting with Tuesday’s hosts, putting in another professional display over the weekend, there is no doubt that the mood in Swansea’s camp should be at a real high. Ending Barnsley’s high-flying run at Oakwell on Saturday night, the Whites landed a deserved 2-0 win outside of South Wales and they’re now tipped as a leading contender in the automatic promotion race. Opening the midweek fixtures sat second in the table and holding a four-point buffer in the top-two, the Whites have continued on an eye-catching run of form either side of the festive period. Along with securing their spot in the fourth-round of this year’s FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 win away at League Two outfit Stevenage, Head Coach Steve Cooper finds his side enjoying a six-match unbeaten run across all formats. More impressive, collecting five wins on their recent purple patch, including three victories on the spin, it should also be noted that Swansea landed a hugely impressive 2-1 win against Watford when opening 2021. Showing a string of improvements at the back and conceding just a single strike since the middle of December, there is no doubt that Tuesday’s guests should be smelling a real chance at Ewood Park in midweek. While Blackburn might have managed to snatch a 1-1 draw off of fellow strugglers Stoke over the weekend, the Rovers are a side in the midst of a sluggish patch. Crashing out of the FA Cup thanks to a shock 1-0 loss against League One side Doncaster on home soil earlier in the month, Tony Mowbray’s men have continued to freefall away from the play-off spots. Winning just a pair of their last 10 matchups across all formats, it’s well worth keeping an eye out for Swansea on Tuesday night.

Tip: Swansea City draw no bet @ 1/1

20:15 Leicester City vs Chelsea

Managing to pick up what turned out to be a routine 2-0 victory against European dark horses Southampton over the weekend, Leicester find themselves enjoying a hugely impressive run of form. While Manchester City’s victory on Sunday night might have knocked the Foxes back down to third in the Premier League table, Brendan Rodgers’ side could be dreaming of yet another stunning title charge. Sat just a pair of points adrift of league leaders Manchester United, the former Celtic boss finds his squad enjoying a three-match winning run across all formats. Boosted by the news that attacking talisman Jamie Vardy is in line to feature at the King Power this week after picking up a little knock against Southampton, Leicester have lost just a single matchup across all formats since December 3rd. With it appearing that their 2-0 loss against Everton last month was just a minor blip, the Blues have also managed to find their clinical edge in the final third. Along with securing their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Europa League, it could also be worth keeping an eye out for a red-hot Harvey Barnes on Tuesday night. Once again finding the net against Southampton over the weekend, the 23-year-old has got himself on the scoresheet with four goals in his last five matchups across all formats. On the flip side, while Chelsea might have snatched an extremely hard 1-0 win away at a 10-man Fulham on Saturday, it doesn’t cover what has been a real blip for the former champions. Really in an uphill battle to find a route back into the top-four, Frank Lampard still finds his job under real scrutiny. Winning just a pair of their last seven Premier League matchups, Leicester should be looking to make another statement at the King Power.

Tip: Leicester City draw no bet @ 11/10

20:30 Alaves vs Sevilla

Starting with Tuesday’s guests, making an immediate return to winning ways on Copa del Rey duties over the weekend, Sevilla have largely impressed many across Spain this season. Managing to book their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League and with a showdown against German giants Borussia Dortmund on the cards, Los Palanganas secured a 1-0 victory against Segunda promotion chasers Leganes last time out. Knowing that they have a golden chance in midweek to find a route back into the top-four, Head Coach Julen Lopetegui has been quick to praise his side’s performances so far this season. Looking to fully bounce back from that defeat against league leaders Atletico Madrid earlier in the month, the one-time Spain boss has seen his squad lose just one of their last 11 matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to December 5th. Picking up victories over the likes of Real Sociedad, Valencia and Villarreal on that run, Sevilla should also be boosted by their most recent trip to the Estadio de Mendizorroza. Landing a 1-0 win when they last faced off against Alaves on the road last season, there is no doubt that Lopetegui’s side will be confident of picking up maximum points in midweek. While Sevilla might have managed to extend on their Copa del Rey adventure over the weekend, Babazorros put in what was nothing short of a woeful display. Eventually hit with a dreadful 5-0 drumming at the hands of lower-league Almería, Abelardo Fernández’s side are firmly looking over their shoulder at the drop zone. Also, last seen on La Liga duties getting hit with a 3-1 defeat against Cadiz, we’re backing another tricky night for Alaves on Tuesday night.

Tip: Sevilla win @ 7/10
