20th June: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 15/1

With the Premier League taking center stage on its return to action this week, Saturday offers us a string of eye-catching meetings from across Europe. On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a weekend acca, we have found you a few helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday 20th June

BST 12:30 Watford vs Leicester

Starting with Saturday’s guests, despite a minor blip during February, Leicester entered the enforced break with a stunning 4-0 romp against relegation scrappers Aston Villa. Making their return to action in the capital this weekend holding an eight-point buffer in the top-four, Brendan Rodgers’ men are inching closer towards a Champions League return for the first time since 2016. Previously claiming back-to-back victories and also with an FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea on the horizon, the former Liverpool boss will undoubtedly be calling on leading marksman Jamie Vardy to lead their charge at an empty Vicarage Road on Saturday lunchtime. Ending his baron run after bagging a brace against Villa back in March, the 33-year-old has recorded 19 Premier League goals this season and currently leads the race for the Golden Boot. Finding the net against the Hornets and helping Leicester pick up a 2-0 win when they faced off against Saturday’s hosts back in December, Vardy and co should be relishing a trip South this weekend. While Watford may have sent shockwaves across England with their remarkable 3-0 win against champions-elect Liverpool, Nigel Pearson’s men could not capitalize and entered the enforced break with a sluggish 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace. Previously winning just one of their last eight matchups and with only their goal difference keeping them out of the bottom-three, Watford could be in for an overwhelming return to action this weekend.

Tip: Leicester win and Jamie Vardy to score anytime @ 15/8

17:30 West Ham vs Wolves

While Wolves might have been disappointed to have entered the enforced break with a 0-0 stalemate against Brighton, Saturday’s guests mark their return still sat in pole position to secure another top-six finish. Still firing in the Europa League, Nuno Espírito Santo’s men were previously enjoying a five-match Premier League unbeaten run and the mood in their camp appeared to be on the rise. Hoping that the red-hot Diogo Jota can carry on from where he left off back in March after bagging six goals in his last five matchups across all competitions, Wolves had also continued to gain a reputation for their rugged displays at the other end of the pitch. Including snatching a point away at Old Trafford prior to the break, the Oranges had recorded a clean sheet in four of their last five Premier League appearances. Picking up a routine 2-0 win when they welcomed the Hammers to Molineux earlier in the season, Santo’s side have won each of their last three meetings against Saturday’s hosts and will travel to East London confident of extending on their European charge. Hit with a devastating 1-0 defeat away at Arsenal last time out, David Moyes’ strugglers find only their goal difference keeping them outside of the drop zone after losing three of their last four Premier League outings. With an unenviable return to action this weekend, the one-time Manchester United boss has seen his side win just a pair of their last 13 contests at the London Stadium.

Tip: Wolves win and over 1.5 goals @ 9/5

20:45 Verona vs Cagliari

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, despite entering the enforced break with a shock 2-1 defeat away at Sampdoria, Verona have continued to shock many across Italy following their Serie A return last summer. Marking their return to action still in the race to secure what would be a stunning European finish, Ivan Jurić’s men have lost just one of their previous 10 top-flight outings, a run that stems all the way back to December 7th. Along with snatching points off of both AC Milan and Lazio prior to the interruption, there is no doubt that I Gialloblu should also be boosted by what was a famous performance at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi back in February. Coming from behind to grab a remarkable 2-1 win against defending champions Juventus, Verona had previously continued to shine with their performances on home soil. Along with that famous victory against the European giants, Saturday’s hosts have won each of their last three Serie A home contests. On the flip side, last seen back in March when hit with a dramatic 4-3 loss away at Roma, the enforced break couldn’t have come quick enough for a struggling Cagliari. Freefalling down the table after what was a bright start to the campaign, the Islanders have lost their last three appearances on the bounce and have failed to record a single victory across any competition since the start of December. Even more worrying for Head Coach Walter Zenga, his side have failed to win any of their last eight matchups on the road. With Verona picking up a 1-0 win the last time they welcomed Cagliari to town, we’re backing a similar outcome when Serie A makes its return to action this weekend.

Tip: Verona win @ 11/10
