23rd May: Sunday’s Premier League Accumulator – 8/1

With the 2020/21 Premier League campaign drawing to a close this weekend, we have a stacked Sunday schedule from up and down the country. On a day that promises to produce plenty of drama, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Sunday 23rd May

BST 16:00 Leicester City vs Tottenham

Starting with Sunday’s hosts, after suffering that dramatic 2-1 defeat away at Stamford Bridge earlier in the week, Leicester know that certainly face an uphill battle this weekend. Dropping out of the top-four for the first time this season thanks to Tuesday’s loss in West London, The Foxes know that nothing less than three points will be good enough at The King Power. Looking to match a similar level that saw them shock many and lift their first FA Cup crown at Wembley last weekend, Brendan Rodgers’ side should be smelling a chance on Sunday afternoon. Despite managing to muster just a single victory from their last four Premier League contests, the former Liverpool boss has seen his side once again gain a string of plaudits this season. Opening up this weekend’s finale sat with just their goal difference keeping them out of the Champions League spot, Leicester should at least be relishing a meeting against the struggling Spurs. Still rocked by the news that attacking talisman Harry Kane will be looking for a move away this summer, Ryan Mason’s temporary squad were last seen putting in another sluggish display. Throwing away the lead and making a string of costly mistakes at the back, Sunday’s guests were hit with a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa on home soil in midweek. Now facing the real chance of not even landing a top-six finish, it should also be noted that The Foxes picked up a 2-0 win when the two sides faced off in the reverse fixture.

Tip: Leicester City win & Over 1.5 goals @ 11/8

16:00 West Ham vs Southampton

After watching Spurs get hit with that 2-1 defeat at home against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, West Ham knew that they could not afford to miss out on another golden chance. With the door left open to them, The Hammers done their part away at an already relegated West Brom and they now find themselves sat in pole position to clinch a top-six finish. Coming from behind away at The Baggies and eventually leaving with a 3-1 win on the road, the East London outfit have shocked almost everyone across the Premier League this time around. Despite only just about managing to hang onto their top-flight status last summer, David Moyes’ side know that just a point on Sunday afternoon will be enough to clinch them a Europa League spot. Welcoming a select number of fans back to the London Stadium this weekend, it is well worth keeping an eye out for attacking MVP, Michail Antonio. Despite dealing with separate hamstring issues this season, the one-time Nottingham Forest winger got himself on the scoresheet at the Hawthorns last time out and has now racked up three goals in his last four Premier League contests. On the flip side, slumping back to losing ways in midweek with a 2-0 defeat at home against Leeds, Southampton have the feel of a club limping their way over the finish line. With no chance of landing a top-half finish, Sunday’s guests have also continued to struggle on the road. It should be noted, The Saints have remarkably lost nine of their last 10 top-flight contests away from the South Coast.

Tip: Michail Antonio to score anytime @ 21/20

16:00 Leeds United vs West Brom

Starting with Sunday’s hosts, while they might have left it late at St. Mary’s in midweek, Leeds were fully deserving of their 2-0 victory and The Whites find themselves enjoying a stunning purple patch. With the mood in their camp at a red-hot high after only making their Premier League return last summer, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have already wrapped up a top-half finish heading into this weekend’s finale. Really bouncing back from that defeat away at Brighton when opening May, the former Napoli boss has seen his side win each of their last three top-flight matchups on the bounce, including a thumping 3-1 win against Tottenham. Winning those three matchups by an aggregate score of 9-1, Leeds have also lost just a single Premier League contest in their last 10 outings, a run that stems back to the start of March. Coming through a tricky fixture list and also shocking many with that famous 2-1 victory away at champions Manchester City last month, The Whites should be smelling a golden chance to sign off their campaign with a real flurry on Sunday. Welcoming fans back to Elland Road and expecting a lively atmosphere, West Brom might face another stern test. With their Championship return already confirmed with time to spare, The Baggies were also hit by the news that Sam Allardyce will be stepping down after their trip to Yorkshire. Suffering that 3-1 defeat against West Ham on Wednesday night and losing their last three Premier League contests on the spin, we’re backing a similar outcome on Sunday afternoon.

Tip: Leeds United win by 2+ goals @ 21/20
