26th December: Boxing Day Accumulator – 8/1

With hopefully a stacked Boxing Day schedule on our hands this weekend, Sunday should be an entertaining fixture list from across Britain. On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Boxing Day acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Sunday December 26th

BST 15:00 Norwich City vs Arsenal

Starting with Sunday’s guests, while Arsenal might have endured a hugely worrying start to the 2021/22 campaign, the Gunners have really come roaring back. Managing to extend on their EFL Cup adventure earlier in the week as they landed a 5-1 win against League One side Sunderland on home soil, Mikel Arteta’s men are enjoying a real purple patch. Last seen on Premier League duties landing a thumping 4-1 victory against Leeds on the road, Arsenal have won each of their last four matchups across all formats. Likewise, mustering nine points from their previous three top-flight contests, the Gunners have also found a route back into the Champions League spots. Smelling a golden opportunity when they travel to Carrow Road this weekend, Norwich know that they could face another stern test here. Last seen getting hit with a 2-0 loss against Aston Villa in east Anglia, the Boxing Day hosts have lost each of their last three Premier League fixtures. With Arsenal landing back-to-back victories against Dean Smith’s new squad, we’re backing a similar away win for the north London outfit.

Tip: Arsenal win by 2+ goals @ 6/5

15:00 Rangers vs St. Mirren

Watching Celtic drop points against Sunday’s opponents earlier in the week, Rangers once again found a way to extend their buffer at the top of the Premiership table. With their sights firmly set on reclaiming their Scottish crown this season, the Blues open Christmas Day already holding a six-point buffer over the chasing pack. While the defending champions might have seen Steven Gerrard leave Ibrox last month, they appear to have immediately found their feet under new boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Last seen picking up a 1-0 win against Dundee United on home soil, Rangers are currently in the midst of an eight-match unbeaten run across all formats, a run that stems back to November 21st. Hoping to lay down another marker on Sunday afternoon, it should also be noted that the former PSV manager has seen his side record three clean sheets on the spin. As for St. Mirren, while the Buddies might have picked up a point against Celtic in midweek, the Boxing Day hosts are in the midst of an extended blip. Firmly looking over their shoulder, Jim Goodwin’s men have failed to win any of their last 10 straight contests.

Tip: Rangers win & under four goals @ 20/23

15:00 Aldershot vs Woking

Starting with Sunday’s hosts, coming from behind last weekend and extending on their EFL Trophy adventure, Aldershot should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Last seen on National League duties landing a thumping 3-0 win away at Eastleigh, the Blues have really skyrocketed their way up the table. Enjoying what has been a stellar purple patch over the past three weeks, Mark Molesley’s men will now be looking to mount a charge for the top-half. Shocking many last month as they landed back-to-back victories against Grimsby and Torquay, Aldershot are unbeaten in their six matchups across all formats, recording five wins. Smelling a real chance on home soil this weekend, they should also be boosted by their recent record against the National League strugglers. Landing back-to-back victories against Woking, the Boxing Day guests could face another tough test. Last seen getting hit with a 3-1 loss against Yeovil on the road, the Cardinals have lost each of their last four straight contests. Likewise, shipping at least a pair of goals in each of those four consecutive defeats, a home win appears at attractive odds here.

Tip: Aldershot win @ 27/20
