26th June: Sunday’s MLS Accumulator – 10/1

Although the knockout stage of this summer’s European Championships might still most of the headlines, we have another stacked schedule from across the MLS this weekend. For those of you looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Sunday 26th June

BST 01:00 Chicago Fire vs Philadelphia Union

Starting with Sunday’s guests, still boosted by that stunning last-gasp point away at Atlanta last weekend, Philadelphia put in another eye-catching display earlier in the week. Once again cementing their spot as the MLS’ standout outfit, the defending champions were last seen landing themselves a deserved 1-0 victory against Columbus Crew on home soil. With the mood in their camp rightfully at a real high and once again tipped by many to clinch top spot in the Eastern Conference, Head Coach Jim Curtin has only seen his squad show their strengthens on either side of the international break. Including a thumping 3-0 win against the Portland Timbers last month, The Union are unbeaten in each of their last eight MLS matchups, a run that stems back to May 2nd. More impressive, picking up 13 points from just their last five contests, Philadelphia should rightfully be smelling another golden chance on the road this weekend. On the flip side, while Curtin’s side might be enjoying a real purple patch, the same cannot be said for a struggling Chicago. Already sat rock-bottom of the Eastern Conference, The Fire are coming off the back of a deserved 1-0 loss against Cincinnati earlier in the week and are in the midst of a real MLS nightmare. Losing each of their last three contests on the bounce and failing to bag a single strike in return, Sunday’s hosts have also collected just a single victory from their opening nine matchups this season.

Tip: Philadelphia Union win @ 31/20

02:00 Seattle Sounders vs Vancouver Whitecaps

While Seattle might have been disappointed to have only collected back-to-back draws against Austin and Atlanta when heading into the international break, The Greens have bounced back in an eye-catching fashion. Building off of that 2-1 victory against LA Galaxy last weekend and grabbing all three points off of Real Salt Lake earlier in the week, The Sounders have stormed their way to top spot in the Western Conference. Already holding a four-point buffer over the chasing pack, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer is also yet to see his side taste defeat since opening the 2021 campaign. Smelling what is a golden chance once again in the early hours of Sunday morning, the mood in Seattle camp should be at a real high. Once again putting in another Man of the Match display in midweek, it is well worth keeping an eye out for attacking MVP, Raul Ruidiaz. Finding the net against Salt Lake last time out, the Peru international has racked up eight MLS goals so far this season and leads the race for the Golden Boot. On the flip side, while Seattle might have stormed their way to top spot in the Western Conference, Vancouver find themselves battling it out at the opposite end of the table. Last seen in midweek getting hit with a deserved 2-1 defeat against LA Galaxy, The Whitecaps have lost each of their last five MLS matchups on the spin. Gaining a reputation for their issues on the road and collecting just a single point from their last 10 away fixtures continuing on from last season, we’re backing another tough night for Vancouver.

Tip: Raul Ruidiaz to score anytime @ 8/11

03:00 San Jose Earthquakes vs LA Galaxy

Starting with Sunday’s guests, while LA Galaxy might have got a reputation for being stop-start on either side of the international break, Greg Vanney’s side have largely impressed this season. Making a string of improvements since opening the 2021 campaign, the California-based outfit were last seen in midweek landing themselves a 2-1 win away at the Vancouver Whitecaps. Winning four of their last six contests and opening the weekend sat third in the Western Conference, the former champions would have also been glad to see their attacking talisman make a return to scoring ways in midweek. Finding the net on the road, former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has recorded eight MLS goals so far this season and will once again spearhead LA’s charge on Sunday. Smelling what is a golden chance at PayPal Park, Vanney’s men should also be boosted by their most recent meeting against the struggling Earthquakes. It should be noted, when they faced off against this weekend’s hosts back on May 30th, Galaxy picked up a 1-0 victory on home soil. While The Whites might have their sights set on making it back-to-back wins this weekend, San Jose are simply desperate to bring an end to what has been a woeful run of form. Putting in what was a season-worst display earlier in the week and coming under real scrutiny for their 5-0 drumming at the hands of Orlando on the road, The Earthquakes are looking over their shoulder at the foot of the Western Conference. Managing to collect just a single point from their last six MLS matchups on the bounce and recording just a single strike on that run, we’re backing what could be another tough night for San Jose.

Tip: LA Galaxy draw no bet @ 6/4
