3rd November: Tuesday’s European Accumulator – 10/1

With the Champions League once again taking center stage in midweek, we are offered a long list of noteworthy meetings from across Europe. On that note, for those of you looking to stick on a Tuesday acca, we have found you a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Tuesday 3rd November

BST 17:55 Lokomotiv Moscow vs Atletico Madrid

Starting with Tuesday’s guests, while Atletico Madrid might have opened their Champions League campaign with a 4-0 defeat away at defending champions Bayern Munich last month, Los Colchoneros have bounced back in some style. Last seen on domestic duties picking up a 3-1 victory away at Osasuna and many in Spain feeling that Diego Simeone’s men are a real La Liga dark horse this time around, they also managed to open their European account with that dramatic 3-2 victory against Salzburg on home soil last week. Still seen as a landslide pick to secure a route out of Group A this season, fans around the Spanish capital will also be boosted by Joao Felix’s recent purple patch. Enjoying his most fruitful patch since making a record-breaking move to the Wanda Metropolitano, the 20-year-old bagged a brace against Osasuna on Saturday and also recorded another pair of strikes against Salzburg last week. Now recording four goals in back-to-back matchups across all formats, there is no doubt that Felix should be confident of extending on his tally against a Lokomotiv outfit showing some continued issues at the back. Seen on Premier League duties getting hit with another shock 2-1 defeat away at Sochi, Tuesday’s hosts have lost each of their last three matchups on the bounce across all competitions and have now shipped over 1.5 goals in their previous four contests on the spin.

Tip: Joao Felix to score anytime @ 11/10

19:00 Bristol Rovers vs Peterborough United

While Peterborough might have been disappointed to have only collected a point against Burton when drawing a close to October, it has been a stellar start to the 2020/2021 campaign for the Posh. Still managing to hold onto their spot at the top of the League One table and many believing that they’re a standout pick to secure a Championship return this time around, Darren Ferguson’s men really laid down what was another clinical marker over the weekend. Completely blowing away Shrewsbury at the Weston Homes Stadium, the Blues picked up a 5-1 romp and now find themselves in the midst of an eight-match unbeaten run across all competitions, winning seven of those appearances. With that run highlighted by a very impressive 2-1 victory against fellow promotion chasers Hull on the road last month, Peterborough also have one leading marksman enjoying a real early-season purple patch. Once again finding the net against Shrewsbury over the weekend, Jonson Clarke-Harris has scored in his last four matchups on the bounce and already has six League One goals to his name. On the flip side, throwing away the lead on Saturday, Bristol Rovers had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Rochdale on their travels and have continued to show their inconstancies. Including a 3-1 drumming at the hands of Hull last month, Tuesday’s hosts have won just one of their last four matchups and have recorded just a single home victory across all formats so far this season.

Tip: Peterborough United win @ 17/20

19:45 Blackburn Rovers vs Middlesbrough

Starting with Tuesday’s guests, while Middlesbrough might have just about managed to extend on their Championship status over the summer, the Reds have shocked many since bringing in the experienced Neil Warnock. Skyrocketing their way into the play-off positions and the mood around the Riverside at a red-hot high, they managed to secure a 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest on home soil over the weekend and suddenly find themselves in the midst of an extended eight-match unbeaten run either side of October’s international break. Knowing that another victory in midweek could see them break into the automatic spots, the one-time Sheffield United boss has seen his side also collect 10 points over their last four Championship appearances. Enjoying their brightest spell in recent memory, Warnock will be hugely excited by his side’s continued success at the back. Recording another clean sheet against Forest on Saturday, Boro have conceded just a single goal in over 450 minutes of action and will be looking to cause another upset on the road this week. While Tuesday’s guests might be enjoying a very impressive purple patch, the same cannot be said for a Blackburn side who have drastically came crashing back down to earth. Hit with a 2-0 defeat against Swansea over the weekend, Tony Mowbray’s men have lost back-to-back Championship contests and have collected just three points over their last five second-tier outings.

Tip: Middlesbrough win @ 2/1
