4th December: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 9/1

With a stacked Christmas schedule on the cards, we have another host of noteworthy meetings from across the Premier League on Saturday. So, for those of you looking to stick on a weekend acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday December 4th

BST 12:30 West Ham vs Chelsea

Starting with Saturday’s guests, while Chelsea might not have been at their best in midweek, the Blues did manage to extend their stay at the top of the Premier League table. Eventually claiming a 2-1 win away at Watford on Wednesday night, Thomas Tuchel’s men have continued to impress since opening the 2021/22 campaign. With many tipping them as the leading contender in this year’s title chase, the west London outfit should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Booking their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League after landing a 4-0 romp against Juventus, the former Borussia Dortmund boss will be looking to lay down another marker here. Opening up this weekend’s fixtures holding a one-point buffer over the chasing pack, Chelsea are unbeaten in each of their last 12 matchups across all formats, a run that stems back to September 29th. Winning 10 of those 12 outings, it should also be noted that they hold a stellar domestic record away from Stamford Bridge. In fact, Saturday’s guests have won each of their last five Premier League contests on the road. As for the Hammers, throwing away the lead late on and having to settle for a last-gasp 1-1 draw against Brighton in midweek, West Ham are in the midst of a recent wobble. Including a 1-0 loss against Wolves last month, David Moyes’ men have failed to win any of their last three Premier League matchups.

Tip: Chelsea win & over 1.5 goals @ 5/4

15:00 Wolves vs Liverpool

While Liverpool might have entered November’s international break with a 3-2 defeat away at West Ham, the Reds have really come flying back out the traps. Putting in another rampant display in midweek as they claimed Merseyside bragging right, Jurgen Klopp’s side landed an impressive 4-1 romp at bitter rivals Everton. Now winning each of their last four matchups across all formats, there is no doubt that Saturday’s guests have their sights set on reclaiming their Premier League crown. Also managing to cruise their way to the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League, Liverpool have really started to impress with their displays in the final third. Already landing a 4-0 victory against Arsenal since returning from the international break, they have bagged 14 goals on their four-match winning run. In fact, the Reds are remarkably averaging over three Premier League goals per game since opening the 2021/22 campaign. Looking to extend on their purple patch here, Klopp will once again be calling on the red-hot Mohamed Salah to spearhead their charge. Tipped as Europe’s best player on current form, the Egypt international has already racked up 13 top-flight strikes so far, including a brace against Everton. As for Wolves, while they might have grabbed a 1-0 win against West Ham last month, they have largely failed to build off of that result. Now having to settle for back-to-back stalemates against relegation scrappers Burnley and Norwich over the past week, there is no doubt that Saturday’s hosts face an overwhelming task here.

Tip: Liverpool to score in both halves @ 11/10

17:30 Watford vs Manchester City

Starting with Saturday’s guests, putting on another professional display earlier in the week as they landed a 2-1 win away at Aston Villa, Manchester City have really put their October wobble behind them. Putting on a stellar performance as they landed a 2-1 victory against French giants PSG on route to booking their spot in the knockout stage of this year’s Champions League, the Sky Blues are in the midst of a recent purple patch. Looking to make it back-to-back Premier League titles this season, Head Coach Pep Guardiola has been filled with praise for his side’s recent displays. Winning each of their last five matchups across all formats, there is no doubt that City will be smelling a golden chance on their travels here. Arguably starting to find their best form heading into the Christmas schedule, the former Barcelona boss will also be boosted by a rampant record against the Hornets. Guardiola’s men have won each of their last 13 straight meetings against Watford, a run that stems all the way back to 2007. Likewise, it should also be noted that Sky Blues have also won each of their last three meetings against this weekend’s opponents by an aggregate score of 16-0. Managing to cut their deficit at the top of the table to just a single point, Claudio Ranieri’s men should be bracing themselves for a long evening’s work. Eventually getting hit with a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea in midweek, Watford have lost four of their last five Premier League outings.

Tip: Manchester City to win both halves @ 6/5
