4th July: Saturday’s Football Accumulator – 10/1

With all eyes once again set on what is a standout weekend of footballing action from across Europe, Saturday promises us a string of lively contests. On that note, for those of you looking to stick a flutter on this weekend, we have found you a few helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for on Saturday.

Saturday 4th July

BST 15:00 Manchester United vs Bournemouth

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, really catching the eye once again in midweek and picking up a thumping 3-0 win at the Amex, the mood in Manchester United’s camp couldn’t be any higher. Still firmly in the top-four chase and also still firing in the FA Cup and the Europa League, the former champions are now in the midst of a glittering 15-match unbeaten run across all competitions. Really starting to turn a corner and with only German champions Bayern Munich holding a longer unbeaten record across Europe’s top tiers, there is no doubt that fans around Old Trafford will be most excited by Bruno Fernandes’ immediate impact. Really cementing his spot as United’s new icon and forming an all-star partnership with Paul Pogba, the 25-year-old has only gone from strength to strength following his January move from Sporting Lisbon. Putting in a Man of the Match display against Brighton on Tuesday night and bagging a brace on the South Coast, Fernades has bagged three Premier League goals in as many appearances since returning from the break. With Bournemouth in the midst of a real crisis and many feeling they’re set for a Championship return this season, the Portuguese playmaker should be confident of extending on his tally this weekend. Hit with a dreadful 4-1 hammering at home against Newcastle in midweek, Eddie Howe’s strugglers have dropped down to 19th in the standings and the mood in their camp is at a season-low. Losing their last four matchups on the bounce and collecting just a single point over their last seven appearances, the Cherries should be in for another long afternoon on the road this weekend.

Tip: Bruno Fernades to score anytime @ 1/1

15:00 Huddersfield Town vs Preston North End

While Huddersfield might have continued to show some real inconsistencies either side of the enforced break, the Terriers really impressed in midweek and have managed to salvage a two-point buffer over the drop zone. Putting in their best performance since returning from the interruption and landing a thumping 3-0 win away at Birmingham, Head Coach Danny Cowley will know that leading marksman Karlan Grant will play a vital role in Saturday’s hosts extending on their Championship status. Converting from the spot at St. Andrew’s once again in midweek and now bagging back-to-back strikes since returning to action, the 22-year-old has enjoyed a free-scoring campaign at the John Smith’s Stadium. Reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League this summer, the former Charlton striker has now recorded five Championship strikes in his last six appearances and has a reputation for his clinical displays on home soil. More impressive, already recording 18 second-tier strikes this season and with only three other players bettering his tally, no player in the bottom half of the standings has recorded more goals than a red-hot Grant. With their Lancashire rivals watching Derby pick up a 1-0 win at Deepdale in midweek and freefalling away from the play-off positions, Preston find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Including a 3-1 drumming against Cardiff last month, the Whites have lost five of their last six Championship contests and have collected just a single point since February 22nd. Dropping points away at relegation scrappers Luton in their last matchup on the road and landing just a pair of clean sheets since opening 2020, we’re backing another fruitful afternoon for Grant this weekend.

Tip: Karlan Grant to score anytime @ 7/4

16:15 Juventus vs Torino

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, despite their Coppa Italia heartbreak against Napoli last month, Juventus have found themselves enjoying another Serie A purple patch. Once again holding a four-point buffer at the top of the table and picking up a 3-1 win away at Genoa in midweek, the Old Lady have won their last six top-flight matchups on the bounce and have really started to shine in the final third. Including hitting relegation scrappers Leece for four last weekend, Maurizio Sarri’s side have bagged at least a pair of strikes in each of their six wins and the former Chelsea boss will be hugely excited by Paulo Dybala’s stunning return to action. While attacking talisman Cristiano Ronaldo might be stealing most the headlines around the Allianz, the Argentina ace once again found the net at Genoa on Tuesday and has now found the net in each of his last three appearances on the bounce. Recording 16 strikes this season and enjoying his most fruitful scoring patch since November, the 26-year-old will be relishing Torino’s arrival on Saturday afternoon. Throwing away the lead against Lazio in midweek and continuing to freefall down the Serie A standings, the mood in the Bulls’ camp couldn’t be any lower. Hit for four by fellow strugglers Cagliari last week, new boss Moreno Longo has failed to make much of an impact since joining back in February. Losing nine of their last 11 matches across all formats and showing what has been a string of glaring issues at the back, it should also be noted that Torino have failed to win any of their previous 11 meetings against the defending champions. Enjoying arguably his brightest run of the season so far, we’re backing a free-scoring Dybala to make it four strikes in as many appearances this weekend.

Tip: Paulo Dybala to score anytime @ 21/20
