8th November: Friday’s European Accumulator – 9/1

With a busy Friday night of footballing action from across Europe, we here at Soccer News have found a handful of helpful tips that can boost your weekend acca:

Friday 8th November

BST 19:30 Koln vs Hoffenheim

Starting with Friday guests, putting in another eye-catching display and picking up a 3-0 win at home against Paderborn last weekend, the mood in Hoffenheim’s camp continues to soar. Enjoying their brightest run in recent memory, Alfred Schreuder’s men have a European finish on their agenda and are enjoying a five-match winning run across all competitions. Winning each of their previous four Bundesliga matches on the spin, fans around the PreZero Arena will know that another victory on Friday would see them briefly climb as high as third in the standings. Also gaining a growing reputation for their lethal showings in the final third, there is no doubt that Hoffenheim should be confident of extending their winning run when they make the trip to the RheinEnergieStadion. Coming under increasing scrutiny for their sluggish display in their 2-0 defeat away at Fortuna Dusseldorf last time out, Koln have lost their last three matches across all formats and already find themselves firmly at the heart of a relegation scrap. Winning just one of their last seven Bundesliga appearances, we’re backing another long night for Koln on Friday.

Tip: Hoffenheim win @ 31/20

20:00 Real Sociedad vs Leganes

Picking up a 2-1 win away at fellow high-flyers Granada last weekend, Real Sociedad have continued on what has been a stellar resurge. Handed the chance to leapfrog both Real Madrid and Barcelona to the top of the La Liga standings heading into the weekend, Imanol Alguacil’s men have now won three of their last four appearances. With many around the Reale Arena starting to believe that their side can secure a remarkable top-four finish this season, one man to keep an eye out for on Friday will be leading marksman, Willian José. Bagging five La Liga strikes heading into November, the 27-year-old has also found the net in back-to-back matchups on home soil and there is no doubt that Sociedad should be looking to extend their recent purple patch. While Friday’s hosts might be enjoying a battle at the top of the table, Leganes find themselves in a very different position. Coming off the back of a 2-1 loss against Eibar at home last weekend, the guests already find themselves sat four points adrift at the foot of the table and they have recorded just a single La Liga victory all season. It should also be noted that when Leganes made the trip to the Reale Arena back in February they were handed an empathic 3-0 defeat.

Tip: Real Sociedad win and over 1.5 goals @ 6/5

20:00 Norwich City vs Watford

In a battle of two sides sat firmly at the foot of the Premier League table, it is no surprise that Friday’s contest at Carrow Road is being described as a November six-pointer. Suffering a 2-0 defeat away at Brighton last time, Norwich have drastically started to struggle since making their top-flight return over the summer. Losing five of their last six and unable to record a single victory since their famous 3-2 win over Manchester City back in September, Head Coach Daniel Farke is desperate for his side to refind a similar level that saw them cause City, Liverpool, and Chelsea a string issues. Recording a 4-2 win the last time they met Watford back in 2016 and also winning four of their previous five matches against the fellow Premier League strugglers, there is no doubt that the former Borussia Dortmund boss should see Friday as a golden opportunity to refind some momentum. Still unable to find their feet since bringing back former boss Quique Sánchez Flores, Watford are in the midst of their worst domestic start in the club’s history. Failing to win any of their opening 11 appearances and already sat two points adrift at the foot of the table, we’re backing Norwich to fancy their chances on Friday night.

Tip: Norwich City draw no bet @ 5/6
