According to a recent report from Calciomercato, AC Milan were close to signing former Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj in January but pulled out of the deal due to financial reasons.

Januzaj is currently plying his trade over in Spain with Real Sociedad after falling off the radar in the realm of English football. At one stage it seemed as if he could be the next big thing, very much in the same vein as Federico Macheda, but it just didn’t quite come to fruition.

AC Milan have been known for their struggles over the years and it’s a shame to see how far they’ve fallen. They were once considered to be the measuring stick amongst all great European clubs but as time has gone on that reputation has dipped dramatically.

There’s always the possibility of this deal reigniting in the future but for now, it appears to be dead in the water.
