According to a recent report from Calciomercato, AC Milan are interested in making a move for Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
It’s been a difficult few years or so for Milan and while they’ve taken certain steps to try and ensure they can become one of the superpowers within Italian football once again, it doesn’t appear to be going so well. Now, they need to start thinking outside the box as they attempt to climb back up through the ranks of the elite.
Maitland-Niles hasn’t exactly been able to rubber stamp his place in the starting XI at the Emirates as of late, and even that may be an understatement. While he has enjoyed a few bright moments here and there it certainly feels as if his time in North London is coming to an end, and this could serve as the perfect escape route as he attempts to reinvigorate his career.
