Adrien Rabiot says no to Tottenham

Wantaway Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is said to have turned down an opportunity to join Tottneham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old French international midfielder is believed to be holding out for a move to Liverpool, who were also said to be keen on his services.

Rabiot has been in the centre of transfer attention for a while now. The Frenchman refused to sign a contract extension with PSG which got him banished from the first team, according to L’Equipe.

The likes of Barcelona and Juventus were said to be keeping close tabs on the midfielder but Tottenham were the first ones to make a move for a player who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the player himself last week, according to a report, while Serge Aurier also tried to persuade his former teammate.

Despite being guaranteed a starting role with the Spurs, Rabiot is said to be looking for a chance to sign for Liverpool.
