Alderweireld to Man United stalled?

According to Sky Sports, the proposed move of Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United could be drifting further and further away. The 29-year-old has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur for a long time now, and whilst some people have felt like it was all a ruse and that he’d end up staying with the club, his performances at the World Cup led many to believe that a deal would end up being done.

However, Manchester United & Spurs reportedly remain ‘way off’ in terms of landing on a solid value for Alderweireld. The expectation is that this situation will be ongoing until the final week or so of the summer transfer window, but with Tottenham valuing the Belgian at £50 million and United not sharing that belief, you have to question whether or not the clubs are too far apart at this point for a deal to really be done.
