Alexander-Arnold set for new Liverpool deal

The Mirror understands that Trent Alexander-Arnold has triggered a new contract with Liverpool.

Having surpassed thirty senior appearances for the Reds, the nineteen year old has activated a clause in his deal which has seen him both double his wages and commit to the the club for another four years.

The nineteen year old was already likely to be offered fresh terms at the end of the season though recent performances have convinced the Merseyside club to retain his services.

He has played twenty-seven times in all competitions this season, scoring three goals – two of which have come in the Champions League.

Also eligible for the United States, Alexander-Arnold has represented England at every level from U16 to U21 and has been tipped for a senior call-up ahead of this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.

Liverpool face Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League and can be backed at 23/10 to win the competition.
