Alli could leave Tottenham

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur will consider formal offers for Dele Alli to leave the club.

The January transfer window is an interesting time across the football spectrum and for Tottenham, it could finally mark the end of the Dele Alli story in North London.

The former wonderkid has been given the chance to really shine this season and hasn’t quite been able to live up to the billing thus far. Antonio Conte was impressed in his early days as manager but it seems like any good will the Englishman had is beginning to wear away – and fast.

At the age of 25 he’s far from “washed” as a professional footballer but Spurs now seems like a step too far. The realisation has hit that he isn’t an elite level talent anymore and because of that, he needs to search elsewhere for new beginnings – here or abroad.
