Ancelotti: I want to coach England

Chelsea boss has revealed his aspirations to become next England manager by replacing his compatriot Fabio Capello.

Coincidentally, Ancelotti’s three-year deal with Chelsea expires at the same time when Capello should leave the Three Lions, in the summer of 2012, and Carleto says he is ready to try his luck at international football.

Asked if he would like to coach England at some stage, he replied:

“Why not? “I’ve never been a coach of a national team but I would like to do it in the future, to have this kind of experience.

“Maybe Redknapp doesn’t like foreign coaches for the national team, but if you ask me about England, I can say ‘Why not?’

“Maybe I can propose Harry Redknapp for the Italian national team in the future! Not now, though, because Cesare Prandelli is my friend.”

The thought of Harry Redknapp becoming the next manager of Italy is a rather amusing way to start a Sunday morning after a late night!
