Ancelotti to wait on Everton transfer talk

“No. We didn’t talk about this but for sure I am not asking for a striker.

“Up front we are really good, but we didn’t talk about this because until January 5 we have to be focused on the three games. After that we can talk about whether we need something or not.”

Those are the words of Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti who is eager to ensure that Everton fans don’t get ahead of themselves regarding the January transfer window. The expectation is that Ancelotti will make some notable changes during the winter window and that he will try to enforce his own style on the Toffees, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to be planning it all out right now.

For the time being he’s going to be focusing on getting Everton through this busy festive period with as many points as possible – which seems like the best route forward.
