With the chance to climb to the top of the table on Thursday night, Barcelona will welcome Granada to an empty Nou Camp in midweek.

Starting with the hosts, with both Atletico Madrid and Los Blancos slipping up over the weekend, Barcelona have seen the door suddenly open up for them. Knowing that three points on Thursday would see them climb to the top of the table, the Spanish giants should be smelling a golden chance in midweek. Looking to build off of their 2-1 win against Villarreal last time out, it is well worth keeping an eye out for the red-hot Antoine Griezmann this week. Once again putting in a Man of the Match display on their travels last time out, the World Cup-winner is enjoying his brightest run at The Nou Camp. In fact, along with bagging four goals in just his last three contests, the French international has recorded eight goals in just his last 10 matchups for club and country and will lead Ronald Koeman’s charge on Thursday.

As for the visitors, while Granada might have managed to find a real boost thanks to that 4-1 win against Eibar earlier in the month, Diego Martínez’s side once again failed to keep up that momentum. Crashing out of the Europa League after a 4-0 aggregate hammering against Premier League giants Manchester United, they were also last seen on the weekend suffering a 2-1 defeat against Sevilla on their travels. Facing what should be another stern test away from The Nuevo Los Cármenes Stadium, Granada have gained a reputation for their struggles on the road. Losing eight of their last nine straight away fixtures and conceding at least a pair of strikes in each of those defeats, we’re backing what should be another fruitful night’s work for Griezmann and co this week.

Bet: Antoine Griezmann 4/6 to score anytime against Granada in Thursday’s La Liga matchup @ 888sport
