April 9th: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 7/1

With the Premier League campaign really starting to reach the business end of the season, we have another stacked schedule on our hands. So, for those of you looking to put on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday April 9th

BST 15:00 Arsenal vs Brighton

Starting with the hosts, marking their return from the international break with a woeful display on the road, Arsenal will be seeking an immediate boost here. Eventually getting hit with a stunning 3-0 loss away at Crystal Palace, Mikel Arteta’s men now have their sights firmly set on trying to find a route back into the top-four. With a Champions League return at the top of their agenda this season, Pep Guardiola’s former right-hand man will be glad to make a return to north London here. Gaining a host of plaudits last month and heading into March’s break with a gritty 1-0 win away at Aston Villa, the Gunners have largely impressed with their displays on home soil. Despite a 2-0 defeat against title contenders Liverpool, Saturday’s hosts have still collected 10 points from their last five Premier League contests in front of their own supporters. Looking to prove that their thumping defeat at Selhurst Park on Monday night was just a minor blip, Arsenal should be looking to cash in on a Brighton side in the midst of an extended rut. Last seen having to settle for a 0-0 stalemate against leading relegation scrappers Norwich at the Amex, Graham Potter’s side have remarkably picked up just a single point from any of their last seven top-flight contests. Likewise, the Seagulls have bagged just a single strike on their hugely worrying seven-match winless run and they should face a stern test in the capital.

Tip: Arsenal win & under 3.5 goals @ 6/5

15:00 Watford vs Leeds

While fans around Elland Road might have been heartbroken to have seen Marcelo Bielsa leave the club last month, it appears that Leeds have found an immediate boost under new boss Jesse Marsch. Pushing their way away from the bottom-three and now appearing to be sat in pole position to extend on their Premier League status this season, the former RB Leipzig boss finds his side in the midst of a three-match unbeaten run. Although the Yorkshire-based outfit might have had to settle for a single point when they hosted Southampton last weekend, the mood in their camp should be at a real high. Mounting a stunning comeback away at European contenders Wolves prior to March’s international break as they snatched a turnaround 3-2 win, Marsch should be smelling a golden chance here. Glad to have welcomed back England international star Kalvin Phillips last time out, Saturday’s guests will know that they could face a crucial showdown this weekend. While Watford might have put in a spirited display in their 2-0 loss away at Liverpool on their return to action, the Hornets are in the midst of a huge struggle. Appearing to freefall their way back down to the Championship, Roy Hodgson’s new squad have won just one of their last six Premier League contests. It should be noted, with the one-time England boss seeing his side lose each of their last eight straight appearances at Vicarage Road, an away draw no be can be found at attractive odds here.

Tip: Leeds draw no bet @ 5/6

17:30 Aston Villa vs Tottenham

Starting with Saturday’s guests, managing to mount a stunning second-half flurry at home against Newcastle, the mood in Tottenham’s camp should be at a real high. Eventually claiming a thrilling 5-1 victory in north London, Head Coach Antonio Conte now has his side believing that they can book a Champions League return this season. Finding a route back into the top-four and looking to lay down another marker here, Spurs really appear to be enjoying life under the one-time Chelsea boss. Helped by Arsenal’s slip-up away at Selhurst Park on Monday night, Tottenham have won five of their last six Premier League contests, a run that stems back to February 23rd. Heading into March’s international break with a 3-1 win against Europa League quarter-finalists West Ham, Conte’s men have also continued to shine in the final third. With South Korean ace Son Heung-min bagging five goals in his last six top-flight outings, a downbeat Aston Villa could be in for another tough test here. Suffering a 2-1 loss away at local rivals Wolves, Steven Gerrard’s new squad have lost each of their last three Premier League matchups. Likewise, it should also be noted that the former Rangers boss has seen his side win just one of their previous six contests on home soil. With Spurs picking up a 2-1 victory when the two sides faced off back in October, we’re backing a similar outcome on Saturday evening.

Tip: Tottenham win @ 21/20
