Arsenal and Juve to battle for Barca star; Manchester United target drops Milan hint

Arsenal and Juve to battle for unsettled Barca star

Having seen very limited playing time at Barca, Bojan Krkic is seriously thinking about leaving Camp Nou, with Juventus and Arsenal ready to offer him an escape route.

Bojan Krkic has found himself at the fringes at Barcelona for the second season running and he is slowly becoming unsettled at Camp Nou.

Still very young but with several years of top level experience, he is very appealing to big European clubs like Arsenal and Juventus, who seem to be ready to make an offer for his services in January.

Arsenal’s interest is hardly surprising as the club have proven to be the perfect place for talented youngsters, while Arsene Wenger is also hoping Cesc Fabregas will help him bring Krkic to the Emirates.

Juventus, on the other hand, are actively looking for a striker and there are reports they will offer more than €20 million for the Barca youngster.

Despite heavy interest from abroad and the lack of playing time, Bojan Krkic remains adamant his future lies at Camp Nou, but his statements should be interpreted as the acts of a true professional rather than the proof he really wants to stay.

Manchester United target drops Milan hint

Rogelio Funes Mori, a target for both Manchester rivals, says he would like to move to one of the Serie A clubs.

River Plate forward is widely tipped to leave El Monumental in January, and he seems to have singled out Italy as his preferred destination.

“I love Milan and all the big teams like Inter, Roma and Juventus. The Calcio is very competitive, very alive and that is exactly what I want,” said Funes Mori, adding that he is ready for a new challenge.

“When there are proposals, I have to be ready and that is what I am doing: getting ready.”

Asked to define himself as a player, the 19-year-old said that “he always reads the game, tries to use spaces and make diagonal runs”, combining that with “good heading and good technique”.

The aforementioned comments made by the player himself will come as a real blow to Manchester rivals and few other English clubs who were hoping to sign the River Plate forward, but who’s to say that the boy won’t change his mind when City millions come into the picture.

Manchester City closing in on Bayer midfielder

Manchester City are tracking Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Renato Augusto, and they look ready to table a bid for the Brazilian as soon as the transfer window opens.

The 22-year-old has proven his worth in Germany after making a switch from Flamengo and he has been capped for Brazil at youth level.

The player who was once tipped as the ‘next Kaka’ would cost around £15 million, and he should be pretty easy to acquire with Bayer Leverkusen officials ready to cash in on their prized asset.

Club sporting director, Rudi Voeller, admits Bayer are prepared to sell Renato Augusto.

“This shows that we have a very good team here in Leverkusen. However, we cannot compete financially with the big European clubs.”
