Arsenal back in for Evans

Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in signing West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonny Evans, according to the Mirror.

The Gunners and Premier League leaders Manchester City were strongly linked with a move for the Northern Ireland defender during the summer with both have bids turned down by the Midlands club.

However, Arsene Wenger is ready to go back in for the twenty-nine year old when the transfer window reopens next month.

Evans moved to the Hawthorns in the summer of 2015 and has since racked up seventy-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Prior to his that he spent over a decade at Manchester United, playing for them just shy of two hundred times and helping them win three Premier League titles and two League Cups.

Internationally, he has been sixty-seven times, scoring twice while he was part of the squad that played at last summer’s European Championships.
