Arsenal go after Bergwijn?

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Arsenal may look to poach Steven Bergwijn from rivals Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The 24-year-old has been with Spurs since back in 2020 but given how their season is going, it may be just a matter of time before he heads off for pastures new.

AC Milan are also believed to be interested but the Gunners may be particularly intrigued by the move, if only to make a statement to their North London rivals.

Arsenal are beginning to look like a team that’s more than capable of pushing for the top four and, in the eyes of some, could be considered the favourites in the race.

Tottenham, meanwhile, could be staring at yet another season in the Conference League.

Bergwijn may not be a world class talent in the eyes of some, but Mikel Arteta could get the best out of him given the quality throughout the squad.
