Arsenal go after Brahimi

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Premier League side Arsenal are in talks over the possibility of signing Algerian international Yacine Brahimi. Brahimi was attracting a great deal of interest from West Ham United last summer, but the Hammers were unable to get a deal over the finish line. Now, with his contract with Porto expiring today, Brahimi is set to be a free agent – meaning that Arsenal could get an absolute bargain with him.

They are still a long way off of agreeing on personal terms as you can probably imagine, but even with that being the case, the Gunners seem to be viewing this as one of their priority signings in the summer transfer window.

Manager Unai Emery knows that he needs to bring in a string of new faces if the club are going to have a chance at breaking into the top four this season, and Brahimi certainly fits the bill of what they’re looking for.
