According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Arsenal are looking towards the potential signing of Lyon sensation Memphis Depay during the summer transfer window.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta reportedly ‘dreams’ of signing him, but any kind of deal may end up depending on whether or not Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaves the club.
It’s obvious to see that this summer will feature quite a few comings and goings at the Emirates, and Arteta himself has hinted towards that being the case. Still, that doesn’t mean he can’t take his time, which is why he’ll probably wait and see whether or not Auba decides to commit his future to staying in North London.
Depay didn’t exactly thrive during his last spell in the Premier League with Manchester United, but perhaps a few years in France is what he needed to really give himself the confidence to have another go in English football’s top flight.
