Arsenal interested in Puig

According to a recent report from the Mirror, Arsenal are interested in trying to sign Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig next summer.

The youngster has barely appeared for the Spanish giants so far this season and there’s a very good chance that trend is going to continue. The Gunners, on the other hand, need to do something in the January transfer window – and beyond – if they’re serious about turning things around.

Mikel Arteta will hope to be the club’s manager by the time we get to the summer but as we all know, that’s far from a guarantee right now. The Spaniard has certainly been able to mastermind a few important triumphs during his tenure at the Emirates but as questions surrounding his future continue to plague the current campaign, it seems like the club are already looking into signing players that may – or may not – be playing under him next season.
