Arsenal lead race for Lemar

According to a recent report from Marca, Arsenal are currently leading the race to try and sign Atletico Madrid winger Thomas Lemar. 

Lemar has been attracting the attention of many top clubs around Europe including Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. Right now, though, the Gunners are the ones that are locked in and focused on trying to bring him over to the Emirates. 

Lemar is the sort of player that is always going to make headlines courtesy of transfer rumors, but in the past, many clubs have tried and failed to sign him. 

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta needs to be ruthless if he’s serious about getting a deal like this done, as Atletico tend to be fairly tight in how they go about selling their star players. 

With one week remaining in the January transfer window, it’s time for all parties to really get moving as negotiations continue with just days to go.
