Arsenal monitoring Swansea City’s Nathan Wood

Arsenal are interested in signing Nathan Wood from Swansea City in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter. The Italian reporter has claimed that Arsenal are monitoring the performances of the 20-year-old England Under-21 international central defender.

Wood has been on the books of Swansea since the summer of 2022 when he joined from Middlesbrough. The youngster has made 36 appearances in the Championship for the Swans so far this season, providing one assist in the process. Wood has also made one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup and has played twice in the FA Cup for the Welsh club so far this campaign.

Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 74 points from 31 matches, four points clear of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City, who have played 30 games. Meanwhile, Swansea currently find themselves 13th in the Championship standings with 56 points from 42 games.
