Arsenal’s Sampdoria raid rejected

According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal’s proposed £43 million raid of Sampdoria stars Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet has been rejected. The 23 and 25 year old sensations will cost Arsenal around £50 million in total, meaning that the Gunners will have to swallow their pride and put forward a higher offer. It’s not like they don’t have the funds to put forward that kind of bid, which makes you wonder whether or not there’s something else going on behind the scenes.

More often than not with these issues it is simply a case of stubbornness taking over, but in this instance, it really is a little bit confusing.

Arsenal seem like they’re going to be a little bit desperate to get some fresh faces in this summer, and after the end to the season that they had, it isn’t exactly hard to see or understand why. They need some changes, and fast.
