AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson on Real Madrid radar

Having been denied the chance to sign the talented Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga who has recently signed a seven-and-a-half-year extension with the Basque side, Real Madrid have shifted their focus towards alternative targets.

Los Blancos are said to be looking for a new first-choice shot-stopper to replace Keylor Navas and with deals for David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois unlikely, Real Madrid are said to be looking towards AS Roma goalie Alisson.

The 25-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper has been in fine form for Giallorossi this season and is widely expected to be promoted as Brazil’s No.1 choice for the upcoming World Cup.

El Mundo Deportivo reports that Real Madrid are preparing a summer move for the AS Roma ‘keeper who made 32 starts for Giallorossi this season.

Real Madrid are the only Spanish side not to make a single buy during the January transfer window. The reigning Spanish and European champions are enduring a difficult campaign and are expected to add a number of players at the end of the term.
