“Aston Villa and Norwich City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Emiliano Buendia,” said a Villa statement.
“As Emiliano is currently in the Argentina national team’s biosecure bubble, preparing for a World Cup qualifying match with Colombia on Tuesday evening, he will undergo a medical and complete the transfer after the game.”
Aston Villa have confirmed that they’ve reached an agreement to sign Emiliano Buendia from Norwich City this summer.
Arsenal were believed to be one of the frontrunners in the race to sign Buendia for quite some time but for whatever reason, Villa are the ones who have beaten them to the punch.
The attacking midfielder was Norwich’s player of the season for 2020/21 as they raced out to a Championship title win, completing an immediate return to the Premier League.
Now, he’ll be hoping to take Villa to the next level as their pursuit of European football continues.
